The other day I wrote about the riding in Bottle Lake Forest - well I went back again this evening for more. Wow wow wow!! So last time I thought this place was wicked fun, but it turns out I'd only been riding about 1/3rd of the place - bit of a problem with the map, thinking I was at the top car park when in fact I was at the other end
.
It had been another lovely sunny day and I was in desperate need of a break from the computer, so packed Mildred up and headed out. Started on the same trail as before, but upon reaching a junction, followed some other riders off to the right. This place really is the definition of flowy singletrack! In and out of the trees, plenty of different routes to take, perfectly bermed corners, little jumps (and big 'uns if you like that), the lot. All this with barely anyone else riding it! Followed trails on and on, biggest of grins on Sloth's face. Actually got to a point when I was almost getting concerned about how far from the car I was, cos there was only around 40 mins of light left, but sure enough I popped back out into civilisation again. So much more still to play with in there - this place is open until 11pm and gets a lot of people down there for night rides - might well have to get myself some decent lights and have a crack at it.
Anyone keen for a bit of that action? See you there when I get back from UK.
