  • 05/06 DVD Teasers

Well they're pretty much hitting the shops now, so here's some teasers for this season's new DVDs...awesome stuff. Love it. This *** is gonna keep the Sloth going till NZ's winter of 06.

  • Petrol's back

The word on the street is that Monsieur Gasole is back in the country after his summer in Greece / Croatia / fighting Italians.

Not seen him yet myself, but as soon as i do hope to post some stories up here!

  • Sloth lands on his head

In what was probably gonna be Sloth's last ride in the UK for a while, he went off to Dorking yesterday with Wolfe + The Mook. Did all the usual trails, Barry Knows Best absolutely amazing as ever etc.

Then it was over to Pitch Hill where apparently there were a couple of jumps we'd not done before. Despite Sloth having said earlier in the ride that he wasn't to do silly stuff cos is leaving in a matter of weeks, he just went for it (without looking at the landing first, damn fool!). Didn't get the front wheel pulled up quite enough, landed on front wheel, Sloth left bike and landed on head and left cheek. Cuts and bruises pretty much everywhere now, broken helmet, scratched Oakleys :(. Still, rather I broke them than breaking my neck!

Next half hour or so saw a very confused Sloth, having pretty much knocked himself out. You'll all be pleased to know that the first thing he said was "where's my camera? Get this on video!" And here it is:

    Get the vid

    And here's the reconstruction

Had to ride back another 2 hours to the car then, got himself home ok, then off to casualty last night. Had xrays of tete done, looked like Terminator, which means you're ok apparently. Got some nice strong painkillers, but woke up feeling appalling this morning.

Anyway, the moral of this story is ALWAYS WHERE A HELMET.

    The End

P.S. Big thanks to Jason + Mook for sorting me out there and then!
