  • Weekend of terror for Jennnnnaiiiiiii

    Sloth,

Apologies for not replying to your text at the weekend updating you on the gnarlyboarders gathering but we had our first offiial gnarlyboarders emergency to attend to. Within the first few seconds of our descent back to the pub car park on Saturday afternoon to finish our ride in the Brecon Beacons panic suddenly emerged. Jennaii's breaks suddenly failed. As she went hurdling past Colonel at 40 miles an hour she soon realised things were going dreadfully wrong. Unsure of what to do Jennaii carried on. Her speed got faster and faster, she was taking hair pin corners at a pace none of us will have experienced so once realising there was no hill ahead to stop her she threw herself off her bike into a bush and next thing she knew she was in the middle of the road flat on her back wondering whether her teef were still in tact and whether she had any broken bones. Fortunately for the brave rider she hobbled away from the scene of the accident fracture free and all her teef still in place. Bob's spare false tooth was on standby though just incase.

Once the shock of it all subsided Jennaii jumped in the shower with Bob who washed her bits and bobs (apart from her doodah), was dressed by Dan Black (her arm not her body) and not Jenny's currently at Shockwave looking at noo bikes!

Good trip all in all but no elaboration on the story of Mr and Mrs Black. Looks like we might have to watch this space.......

Colonel has probably a few words to say about what happened to him in the early hours of Sunday morning though...

    Back to the studio

    Regards

    Bob xx

[Sloth Edit: Let's have a look at her then...]Surprise

  • Anyone for farming in the Forest of Dean 15th and 16th July?

Well after such a successful weekend of riding despite the heavy rain on Saturday morning and Jarmarl and Bungle's nightmare of a journey back home, it has been decided another trip to Wales needs to be put in the diary.

I was thinking we could do the Forest of Dean (not actually Wales but Herefordshire) because it is about 2.5 hours for the London crew and about the same for the Midlands crew. I'm hoping Le Sloth will make some comments below this post recommending some rides and a nice campsite.

For those who are interested in coming, either reply to this post or email me at sarah.zipser@ntu.ac.uk and i will make some bookings.
